Prof. Dr. Emin Ersoy is a specialist in general surgery. Since 2016 he has been head of the Obesity Centre at Medistate Kavacık Hospital in Istanbul. From 1987 to 2016 he worked in the Department of General Surgery at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine.

His work focuses on laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, reflux surgery, and obesity and metabolic surgery.
