Version: 2.0 · Effective from: 23 September 2026
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit a website. This policy also covers similar technologies such as pixels and your browser's local storage (Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC as implemented in your country; in the UK, regulation 6 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003, PECR).
2. The basic rule: nothing beyond the strictly necessary without your consent
Apart from strictly necessary cookies, nothing is set or read until you have given your consent in the cookie banner. Technically, this is done with Google Consent Mode v2: before you decide, all four signals (ad_storage, analytics_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) are set to denied.
- "Accept all", "Reject all" and "Settings" are shown with equal prominence; rejecting is just as easy as accepting.
- Simply continuing to browse does not count as consent.
- Your choice is stored for 6 months; after that we ask again.
- You can change your choice at any time using "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page; if you withdraw consent, the cookies concerned are deleted.
3. Cookies we use

Legal basis: Art. 5(3) ePrivacy Directive (strictly necessary exemption; in the UK, regulation 6(4) PECR), Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR / KVKK Art. 5(2)(c) and (f).

4. What goes to advertising platforms, and what does not
With your consent: the page viewed, language, country/city, the ad you came from, whether you made a request, and your preferred timing. If you have also ticked the advertising measurement consent on the form, your email address and phone number in encrypted (hashed) form.
Under no circumstances: height, weight, BMI, medical conditions, previous operations, suggested treatment topics, free text, or the values you enter in the pre-assessment tool. The set-up is designed so that this information cannot be inferred from page addresses or event names either.
5. Transfers to third countries
Data collected through statistics and marketing cookies may be processed by Google and Meta, including in the USA. For visitors from the EU, this relies on the adequacy decision for the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and on your consent; for visitors from the UK, on the UK Extension to that framework and on your consent. For visitors from Turkey and other countries, the transfer relies on the explicit consent you give in the cookie banner (KVKK Art. 9(6)(a)); the possible risk is that the data are processed in a country for which the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board has not found an equivalent level of protection.
6. Managing cookies in your browser
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block necessary cookies, language selection and the form may not work.
